yes you are.
tom hiddleston is honestly one of my favorite people in the world. he is just a genuinely kindhearted, respectful human being. he is a dreamer who took a risk to follow his dream, and he has succeeded. he strives to make the world a better place and to change it using his…
and I am burdened with glorious popcorn!
I felt proud - no, sure - that this sighting [of Whishaw] confirmed all my assumed preconceptions of this most British of British actors: short, boyishly handsome, a little jumpy, a lot introverted, nice eyes and about as brazen and as bawdy as a newborn foal. Of course, that’s what everyone always thinks about Mr Whishaw: reluctant, fame-weary, bookish, and unfathomably thespian. Well, we’re all spectacularly wrong. (Mostly wrong anyway; he is very thespian. And quite bookish.) Still, there’s no doubt of the admiration for Mr Whishaw, especially if Twitter is anything to go by. The morning I meet him, both the author Mr Bret Easton Ellis and journalist Ms Caitlin Moran tweet their lustful adorations of the good-natured boy-child - Ms Moran going so far as to say she’d like to “bang” him.
“I’m not aware of any of that stuff,” he smiles, stifling a grin the size of a canoe. “But thank you for telling me. It’s always nice to be appreciated. ♔
“If I have a lot of fun with it [his private life], then there’s far more chance of me being exposed having a lot of fun with it, which makes me look like a wanker. That is a little bit of a worry for me. It inhibits me from going, ‘Dah-dah-dah, let’s party!’ because you just know your behaviour is going to get on some blog or tweet or gossip column. “Before, with anonymity, I didn’t have to worry about that problem. But then,” he adds with a wry chuckle, “I didn’t have that much to wield with a smile.” -Benedict Cumberbatch
Radio Times photoshoot with Benedict Cumberbatch
Open in new tab for high res.
(Great interview!) Benedict Cumberbatch has fallen in love with an overweight civil servant called Christopher. ‘I am enamoured of his principles, his virtue and the goodness he stands for,’ he says, grinning the wonky grin of the hopelessly smitten. ‘I love him. I really do think that Christopher Tietjens is the character I’m most fond of ever having played.’
UGHHHH PERFECT PERFECT HUMAN BEING
THANK YOU FOR EXISTING
If I don’t drive around the park,
I’m pretty sure to make my mark.
If I’m in bed each night by ten,
I may get back my looks again,
If I abstain from fun and such,
I’ll probably amount to much,
But I shall stay the way I am,
Because I do not give a damn.
Words by Dorothy Parker, beautifully demonstrated by Benedict Cumberbatch.
And thats why he takes the tube to premieres. I hope he never changes.
Love love love.
